Many students struggle with abstract math. With these manipulatives, students will be able to use a hands on approach to solve algebraic equations. Students learn more with their hands and being able to see what is happening with the equations. Once they get comfortable with the hands on equations, the students will then transfer to more abstract methods. This process will instill confidence and a sense of accomplishment the students can take with them to continue to help them learn algebra at the higher levels. When the students have confidence, they have pride and enjoy learning.
