I have noticed that after returning from virtual learning during the pandemic, sitting and focusing have become an obstacle for my students. Active seating wobble stools to allow my students opportunities for subtle movements and adjustments while sitting. Active seating promotes body engagement and increased focusing ability by giving students the sensory input they need. These seats would allow my students a way to sit where they are able to move while actively engaging and focusing on learning without being distracted or distracting others. It also provides students with choice and independence by being able to choose the seating options in the classroom that work best for them. Currently, my students are only able to work in the regular desk/chair configuration in my classroom. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in engaging them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given opportunities for movement while learning. Attention, focus, and active engagement significantly improve when movement is allowed from when they are just sitting at their desk. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options that allow for movement and sensory input. The wobble stools are will allow students to sit at desk/higher tables while providing movement. These will be extremely beneficial for my students with Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, ADHD, and Anxiety. I have seen how movement can positively affect my students’ performance and hope that these wobble stools will help us develop even more!
