After three rocky years of virtual and hybrid learning, my students are finally getting back to a somewhat normal school life. The last normal school year my eighth grade students had was when they were in fifth grade. In my classroom I am not looking backward, I am looking forward! I want to give my students an authentic experience with hands-on learning and physical novels they can hold in their hands. I will be using the funding to purchase three class novel sets, sharpies, colored pencils, and a cart for storing class art supplies. My students enjoy reading and using art supplies to get creative with their book summaries, journal writings, and student creative responses. Using the funding provided I will be able to better accommodate quarantined students with sets of classroom supplies that can be sent home.
