Kids have a difficult time expressing their emotions positively. This year we have seen an increase in children struggling with their feelings. There have been many changes with routine, attending school, staying home and parents being stressed. Add on the difficulty of reading social cues when many people wear masks. I plan on talking with kids about different emotions and then using various outlets to allow kids to explore those emotions. We will use the paints to paint what we are feeling. We will use the storytelling kits to talk about how to fill our buckets when we are sad. We explore being silly with "There Was An Old Woman." We will dance out our feelings with ribbon bracelets.
