Many students are experiencing gaps in their learning from being quarantined or virtual learning from COVID-19. Kids learn by doing and I believe these supplies will help my kids learn more! The storage containers will be used for center activities to pull in small groups to work on filling gaps that students have. The bands for the student's desks will help students focus more on tasks learned in the whole group. Studies have shown that having bands on desks helps students with anxiety. We have seen many students come back to us with anxiety from being away from public schools. The sheet protectors and folders will be used for direct instruction. I make review folders that help refresh materials taught all throughout the year. Students need a review continuously through the year to fill the gaps and to ensure that they understand the objectives being taught. The stools will be used to pull students up to my round table for individual instruction. As I said at the beginning, Kids learn by doing and I believe these supplies will help my kids do more so they can learn more! I appreciate your kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity!
