A drone. This drone will be used to explore areas related to the geography of Oklahoma. This could include lakes, rivers, and mountains. I would also use this drone to explore certain aspects of Oklahoma History such as Boomtowns, old abandoned oil sites, Greenwood Addition, Civil War battle sites, and areas of the Five Civilized Tribes. To take a trip to explore the above-mentioned areas either in person or virtually. When allowed to explore these areas in person, the drone would help explore areas that aren't accessible by foot. If visiting these areas in person isn't feasible, video footage from the drone would be used in the classroom for interactive lessons. Due to the pandemic in-person learning has been a challenge. Being able to take field trips has been impossible. Students deserve the opportunity to have lessons that are interactive and hands-on. This drone would allow me to bring interactive lessons to my students while still following covid precautions.
