In the time of Covid and Social Distancing, we are noticing that students are coming to Kindergarten lacking in social skills and not knowing how to collaborate and work with other students. I am hoping to be able to bring kids together by using tables instead of individual desks in our classroom. I want students to learn how to share space and materials/supplies with each other. We do a lot of partner activities and small group activities in Kindergarten and tables would be more effective in allowing children to sit closer together and be able to work together to collaborate on class projects.
