I’m always looking for new ways to engage, educate and empower my students with the skills needed to become better writers, communicators and readers. My hope with this grant is to build a new small group setting in my classroom with new interactive devices (Osmo). The overall goal is to help students build a better understanding of spelling and the building of new words while being engaged and inspired during the learning process. The flexible seating will also allow for those students who tend to be distracted easily find a space more suitable to their learning needs within my classroom. All in all, when students are engaged and comfortable, they will learn to become better communicators with the help of this new technology.
