The camera requested for this project will be used by students that are enrolled in yearbook as well as multimedia. Students will have the opportunity to learn techniques on how to use the camera and how to tell a story through the pictures and video that they capture. The camera will benefit the entire student body because it will be used by the yearbook staff to take pictures of the moments that will be forever captured on the pages of their memory books. With your help in providing my classroom with this camera, the students will become fully engaged in learning and exploring by diving into the world of creativity with this hands-on learning tool. Students learn in many different ways, so it becomes imperative that they have more learning tools in their hands. In the past, these students have not been invested in the creation of the yearbook and so this project will encourage the student's creativity to surface and they will become invested in the opportunities and projects that will become available. With the camera being a tool in the classroom, it opens the door for project opportunities, such as Web Design, Graphic Design, Photo Manipulation, Video Creation, Infographics, and more.
