Students that need extra support are placed in my classes. These courses, targeted at freshmen and called Academic Enhancement, are designed to provide students with the skills necessary to be successful in high school. This class has an extensive focus on assisting students in all of their academic courses. Part of the weekly routines of our classroom includes a one-on-one grade and assignment check as well as remedial support on classroom instruction; the materials provided through this project will assist us in both of these areas. The students are given tracking sheets weekly to keep up with their grades, assignments, and deadlines. I would love to use the binders to better keep a log of these sheets. The whiteboards will also be instrumental in us being able to complete quick checks on specific academic skills. For example, if we are filling in gaps on learning in Algebra 1, I can have the students complete a quick problem on their whiteboards, show a response, and move on.
