The workout equipment that I have selected will be used for the high school weights classes. Our high school is low-income and in a rural area. Our students have minimal exposure to proper weight lifting equipment and instruction. I want my students to have a quality weight room to spend time with their friends, learn healthy habits, proper skill, and develop resilience in all aspects of their life. I believe working out can develop healthy habits that these students will hold on to throughout the rest of their lives. I want to teach them these skills in high school so that they will be confident to do it on their own.
