Headphones: I do a lot of lessons where I create my own videos to help students learn at their own pace. This is important in helping them obtain the knowledge that is needed for projects. I do a lot of project-based learning, but it is hard for them to do a project if they don't have the base knowledge. Many students don't have headphones that work with my computers. This would help my students be able to get this important base knowledge! Mississippi Trial: I believe it is crucial for students to be able to connect what they are learning to current events. When I teach the Civil War it is difficult for students to connect the past to the present. I went on a Civil Rights trip last year in the Southern United States and found that the Civil Rights movement helps students to connect the Civil War to the present. I would love to have this book where students can learn about a teenager during the Civil Rights Era whose story made national headlines. This will help them make connections to the present when it comes to issues of civil rights. Thanks for supporting my students with their needs!
