Our students often aspire to use as many materials as possible to fully express their visions, but are unfortunately unable to do so as supplies are often limited. A student once created an entire watercolor piece by removing the solid paints from their containers and allowing them to stick and drip throughout their canvas. Unfortunately, though their creation was absolutely brilliant, we were a few watercolor paints short for the next class. As we are working without specific equipment, we are often utilizing every available surface in the classroom to allow for artworks to dry. As a result, student pieces are often misplaced, or undervalued, rather than being stored safely to encourage students to see the value in their work. It is undeniable that appropriate supplies and storage can make the world of a difference in student confidence levels! With drying racks and specific art materials, student will have many more opportunities for creative growth and exploration!
