My students need access to age appropriate materials to build phonics and fluency. As 4th graders working on phonics instruction they are limited to picture books designed for Kindergarten and 1st graders. The phonics passages are perfect for my 4th grade students allowing them to feel empowered by an age appropriate text. The fluency passages from Teachers Pay Teachers are perfect and add a variety of stories allowing students to remain engaged. Fluency passages will help them to feel successful while learning the Spanish language, but allow them to learn with age appropriate materials giving them confidence in their abilities.
