At our school, all supplies besides white copy paper comes from our legislative budget. I returned to teaching after staying home with my children to a school with a completely empty classroom. My legislative money was gone in days. I have had to beg and borrow from coworkers to get essentials for my students. Math manipulatives, colored cardstock/paper, and art supplies, just to name a few. Stocking my classroom would allow me to have the supplies I need to be a more effective teacher for them and help them be the best learners they can be.
