Life gets overwhelming and while my main focus it teaching kids the skills to deal with overwhelming situations sometimes we need a calm quiet activity before we move on for the day. Sensory items are expensive and a lot of students need a variety of items depending on the situation. My students have been doing well using social emotional games because they don't realize they are learning because it is fun. The items I have added will be used just here at school while the skills we work on will follow them all their lives.
