Dry erase board can be used in Chinese writing practice and math teaching (since math has been taught in Chinese first in lower grade of immersion program) everyday. It is a good way for teacher to check students' understanding quickly and effectively. Erasers, pencil toppers, colorful pencils and bendable pencils are good rewards for students. There is a big gift packet hanging in my classroom which has 36 small bags separated. Student who did good job everyday the whole week can draw a number and get the reward in the small pocket. That will motivate students to do their job everyday. Chinese paper cut and lanterns can help students know the culture better.
