My requested socket wrench set, electrical glove kit, and other resources will help directly with relation to working in our high school shop. We are a project-based class that has hands-on experiences that they have to master. The students do all their theory in their Canvas courses but are required to show me that they can master the skills taught to use that theory. They work in small groups or individually as they pass off their lab assignments, so having this safety equipment is vital in keeping my students safe in their shop environment. Students need access to safety equipment and a safe area to explore and learn as they practice the skills they are trying to master. Our area is a life skill and helps students to be able to problem-solve. It also gives them the ability to take care of their transportation as they leave high school and become productive adults.
