All math materials will be used to help build students' number sense. When students have a solid foundation of number sense, it makes all mathematical concepts easier to learn. With the loss of half of their kindergarten year, many of these students missed out on hands on activities to build their understanding of numbers. Fun, current books are always needed in any classroom. The book sets I am requesting will give my students a variety of examples of stories out their to discover. Once they discover stories and characters they love, they are more likely to become life long readers.
