The students I work with are all amazing in their own ways. We use a reward system to try and keep the kids motivated and engaged in the lessons and activities. Some of the things we are asking for would be used with the reward system. Other more concrete things are helpful with their learning progress. All of the students have different accommodations and sensory struggles. Things that may be simple and easy for one student, are drastically different for another student. Sitting still may be something that one kid struggles with. The bouncy chairs help with that in a huge way. Covid has had a huge impact on the students we work with. They are not used to a full day of school and have a hard time sitting still. These balance balls and rewards for great behavior will be a huge asset to our classroom.
