The materials requested will help my students express creativity and build confidence. The variety of materials will enhance their learning as well as expose them to new concepts. For instance, after learning that my students have never worked with pastel chalks, I plan on introducing them to pastel art work through a series of projects. We are currently unable to do that because we have no pastel chalk in our supply. We simply have very little art supplies. The supplies consist of used colored pencils , a few markers, and a few reams of construction paper. I'm very limited as to what I plan to introduce pastels. These students are very attentive and enjoy learning new things. They look forward to their "specials" every day. Many of them demonstrate what they have learned, following their lessons. I look forward to the new projects that my students create with the art supplies. I also look forward to providing more physical education lessons with the new equipment. Exciting times are ahead.
