The deep learning activities I have in my cart will help build a classroom family. They will help students work on their communication, collaborative, and creativity skills. They will push my students to think critically. All of these skills are essential for our future leaders. The STEM activities, breakout kits, and SEL books are a great way to ensure the students are reaching academic content like literacy, math, and science while enriching their communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills. Our students have been through so much over the past two years with constant changes that have come as a result of Covid. Students are struggling with their emotions and feelings and knowing how to manage them. These classroom building resources will help them in a safe way to work through emotions within the classroom family that we are building. Having collaborative activities in the classroom and books to explicitly teach community and emotions will help my students' social emotional needs in a fun way that will help them know to to navigate the all changing world around them. I have no doubt that these kids will do great things! I am so excited to get these resources to help them learn valuable life skills while integrating math, science, and literacy.
