The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will give them an outlet to deal with the challenges they face during the pandemic. Artistic expression will allow students to manage their emotions and explore their creativity. Students use tablets and Chromebooks often, therefore art supplies will allow them to step away from technology and explore other means of artistic forms. Getting the art supplies in students hands will allow them to face emotions, build confidence, and encourage mindfulness. Introverts in the class will be able to express themselves through art that may otherwise have a difficult time discussing their social-emotional needs.
