Art classes are naturally hands-on classes, which caused difficulties during the pandemic. By providing access to class sets of graphic novel like texts, students will be able to study different styles of art mediums wherever they may be--at home or in school. Providing graphic novels for my students is not only a good cross-curricular activity, but it provides meaningful work that my students can do outside of the classroom. By studying graphic novels, students are also exposed to one of the ways that they could have a career as an artist. Students will be able to see the work that goes into illustration, or creating stories using other mediums.
