Students love to display the school work that they are proud of on an easel. It is also a great tool for students to "come to the board" and participate during small group lessons. I find my students get excited and are more engaged when their worksheets are colorful and interesting. Students with disabilities thrive when they have color. Many are visual learners. Picture books are also captivating for students on all levels. Having a brain break for sensory time with kinetic sand or looking at books is always an incentive.
