This book will enhance our curriculum unit on understanding the Holocaust and the dangers of unchecked power teemed with hatred. The text is presented as a graphic novel which has proven to be highly engaging to even the most hesitant readers. It will also add an additional perspective and support our curriculum included text the Diary of Anne Frank the Play. Enlightening students on the history of hatred and oppression targeting specific groups can help ensure people will not only always remember what occurred but will be ready to stand against it when and if it returns.
