During the past 2 years my students, like many others, have spent much time learning on line. I am trying to make a fun and colorful environment to help them feel welcome in my class with vinyl to create a word wall and hanging storage for their cell phones to help keep distractions to a minimum. We will use the white boards at the beginning of almost every class as we review concepts from the day before. The whiteboards allow students to show their work and display it for their classmates. Then we can discuss any holes in understanding before proceeding with the lesson. The most important items my students need right now is supplies. It is near impossible to learn math when you don't have a pencil to write with, or a pencil sharpener to sharpen the dull pencils. Also we use graphing calculators nearly every day but we not currently do not have any "extra" of these calculators for students to use if they forget their own. Without these items students are unable to access the content for the day and then grow further behind. I am submitting this project because I want students in my classroom to feel that school is as normal as possible and hopefully help them recover from the trauma of school during the Covid 19 pandemic.
