As a school counselor we like to focus on prevention but also have a plan for the immediate need. The social emotional learning tools from Teachers Pay Teachers will assist us in implementing crisis prevention long term with improving the tools and skill set of our freshman class. They will learn things such as stress management, anxiety coping skills, and even tools to improve their organizational and planning skills. While fidgets don't seem very essential on a school campus, students find that doing something with their hands makes talking about really serious and scary things a little bit easier. These fidgets are just a piece of what we can do to ease these student's minds and allow for a safe relationship built with trust and genuine care while in our office.
