My students need new manipulatives and toys to re-engage in their learning. When kids build and play together, they are learning communication and social skills. I am excited to have new tools for them to explore with. Games bring so much excitement and engagement to learning. There also is a competitive factor that helps challenge them to the next level of learning. When I can work with them in small groups and teach them how to use these materials and games, their learning will take off and they will once again love learning! Students will use these new resources each day during small group center time. I will be working with students to explicitly teach while another group is doing an independent practice page. The third group will be using these new games and manipulatives to learn, communicate effectively and create. They will benefit from having organized tinker time build into their day!
