Many organizations in our area hold coat drives and donate to our students. However, most people donate children's sizes. Since our students can stay with us until they are 22 years of age, many of our students require men's size coats. These students are often unable to be recipients of other coat drives since they require larger sizes that are donated less often. The students that will be helped by this project currently do not have a winter coat. They usually wear hooded sweatshirts in an effort to stay warm. Temperatures in our area of the past couple of days have been far below freezing. This project is an effort to serve the students that are usually left out of similar drives in our area.
