I would love to receive materials to improve my students' writing and art supplies to support the writing. We will use markers, highlighters, pencil sharpener, sticky notes, and paper to write their papers. As the kids write, edit, they will then publish. We will use art supplies like paint, chalks, paint brushes, paint cakes, and also lamination, a laminator, and Sharpies to help us get to the final product. After the students publish their writing pieces they will have the opportunity to make an art project that reinforces their writing. Research shows that doing art reinforces language in the brain and helps with social and emotional learning, what a fun way for language to be taught and support language.
