Using these supplies will help students to enjoy math by creating diagrams, coloring in shapes drawn to make it more their style, and allowing them to use their creativity to help them understand certain math topics. In light of COVID-19, students feel stressed even more when it comes to math. However, allowing them to express their creativity with different types of materials can give students the boost of confidence they need in solving math problems. For example, drawing out story problems to visually understand what the problem is, instead of students reading the problem and getting frustrated because they don't understand what the problem is asking.
