I will locate the reading benches, sensory pillows, and rug around my classroom library shelves to create an inviting reading corner for students. During whole group reading instruction, I will use the foam prompt cubes to guide our literary discussions. The guided reading strips will help struggling readers keep their place and focus their attention. The timers will be used for partner timed readings and the magnets will be used for securing letter cards when working with phonics and sentence structure. For math instruction, I will use the operation fluency flashcards and time bingo game to help emphasize the "big ideas" in our math curriculum. Our math program uses many templates for concept practice and the dry erase pockets will allow us to use our dry erase markers during our work. This will help us save paper. The STEM kits will get my students using their imaginations by practicing problem solving strategies on their own and with a partner. I will use the laminator and laminating pockets to preserve and reinforce student passes and class money that we use on a daily basis. I would like to use the motivational small toys and erasers in my class treasure box to reward my students and keep them motivated and have fun along the way!
