My first graders have not had a 'typical' classroom or school experience. They have only known school through pandemic. I have noticed this year, they have a hard time being motivated when only offering their desk or the floor to work at. I have 2 small tables and the students BEG to work or read there. They love that it is unique to our classroom and a different spot away from their traditional desk. Help them feel in control of their learning by offering them comfortable and engaging seating options in the classroom! Students love to use their creativity and offering them high quality paint supplies along with flexible seating options, they are more likely to feel comfortable in their learning environment!
