These easels and visual aid carriers will enable our speakers to effectively compete in both Informative Speaking and Entertainment Speaking, the two events that require competitors to have posters and props for their presentations. Speakers create their own posters, often spending hours painting and drawing; so it is essential that students have a safe way to carry their visual aids to tournaments and then, once there, a reliable way to display their posters during their presentations. They work too hard to have their posters damaged on the way to tournaments just because we don't have a safe, effective way to transport them. Considering that this year alone we had 11 Entertainment Speaking competitors and 9 Informative Speaking competitors, we certainly have a need for both easels and visual aid carriers. Every year our team grows, averaging right around 50 speakers. So, this is an investment that won't just benefit this year's team members, but speakers for years to come.
