With enough books for each student to check-out their own copy, learning in the classroom can be focused on skills and discussion to enhance the reading that can take place in or outside of the classroom. Valuable class time is saved when students can come prepared to discuss stories they've already read--or we can get creative and read together in class. Having the option to do either by giving each student their own copy of the book is what makes the biggest difference. Students can learn on their own or with the class.
