Students learn more and are more engaged when they can actually do what they are learning. The materials that I am requesting will help pair actions with some of the concepts that are hard for second graders to grasp. Another way to engage students is to put the concepts into games. Some of the materials that I requested are premade and tested games that students love to play while practicing the concepts we are learning as a whole class. These materials are materials that will last for year to come, helping more than just my class this year.
