Students will engage in the use of LEGO brick sets as a group reward for completed learning. Autism is defined by social awkwardness, the use of LEGO bricks to interact as a team to complete projects will help the students to learn how to interact in a pro-social manner. This project will not only motivate students to complete academic expectations in order to earn a reward, but will help students learn and practice critical social skills thereby creating a pro-social classroom atmosphere. Students will also be able to work on fine motor skills putting LEGO bricks together in addition to increasing individual creativity and curiosity.
