Students have struggled due to the impacts of Covid-19 the last 3 school years. Between virtual learning, hybrid learning, and returning to a normal school year, the academic progress of students has been affected. We are working to close any learning gaps for students so that they are prepared for high school and the world beyond.
The supplies needed will help students to work on intervention and remediation programs to restore gaps in skills that were created by the pandemic and to be able to work at a level equal to their peers.
My students will use the items requested for their intervention and remediation programs. We are working to help our students become better readers and the program we use requires students to be able to listen and speak to show their growth in phonics and reading. We would like a place to store our headphones and will use the holders for that. We also work on a math intervention program that is paper-based and often short on pencils. In my classroom, we have written reports about each student and require the use of a shredder to destroy any mistake copies in an effort to keep their reports confidential.
