My job is to write behavior plans that will help young people learn the skills that are necessary to be successful in school and their community. Through the pandemic, my job has quickly shifted to one that is not only focused on behavior, but also emotional and social well being. The focus must first be creating environments in which students feel safe and trust before any behavior change can occur. The items requested were picked, with student input, so that exact environment can be created. Using these items, I will better be able to build relationships with students, provide them with individualized reinforcement when goals are met, and challenge them to make new goals that will take them towards their long term dreams.
