Mathematics is a set of rules for manipulating the numbers and symbols used in the system. I am using games new and familiar to help my students understand that process of rule creation and logical thinking that allows them to manipulate simple and complex situations to reach their goals. This project will help my students see the fun in math. We are using game design to allow us to see mathematics as a series of puzzles of increasing complexity to make it more entertaining and provide them with a challenge worth doing.
