Covid-19 has hit our students and their family's with not only emotional stress but financial stress as well. We have had students tell us that their parents have lost their jobs and their homes and have not had enough funds for basic supplies. For this project, I am hoping to have hygiene backpacks full of soaps, toothbrushes, deodorants, combs, body wipes, shirts, and socks for those students who come to school with the same clothes and have not showered for days or even a week. It is our hope that these kids will get a much-needed refresh as well as a backpack to house their school supplies like notebooks, assignments, pens, pencils, and binders.
