When teaching math, it is important that students get precise and instant feedback while solving problems. Having an iPad would allow me the freedom to walk around the room while I'm teaching and check students' work instead of being stuck at the front of the room. I could manage a presentation or complete problems on my iPad that would connect to the smartboard and thus be nearer to the students. My students are so much more engaged when they can work out math problems on a whiteboard with dry erase markers and erasers instead of paper and pencil. By donating dry erase markers and erasers, you will help improve my students learning, focus, and engagement. Using whiteboards allows the students to instantly solve problems and quickly correct their mistakes. It also allows me to give instant feedback. Chromebooks are a wonderful resource, but with the interactive activities I do with my students, it can be hard for them to manipulate the tasks with just a touch pad. By giving the students mice to use with their Chromebook, they will not have the frustration of using technology and be able to focus more wholly on their work.
