I will use these materials for a couple different purposes. First, the dividers will be used to give my students a place to calm down and cope with their feels away from other students. Many of them easily get frustrated by their peers. Second, the rug will be used to help us do many of our routines in the classroom and give the students a break from their desks. It will also help teach social skills such as following directions and keeping your hands to yourself to help with IEP goals.
