Students practice calligraphy in class. Students make posters to inform their peers about the different cultures and customs. For example, our students will hang up Chinese New Year posters in February inside the school building, they are required to focus on one theme: New Year activities, New Year greetings, New Year taboos, New Year food, best gift ideas, or worst gifts to give away. Our school encourages students to do well with certain encouragement words. Students will also make moon cakes to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Students will use the mahjong sets to learn to play Chinese popular games to celebrate Chinese New Year. In our class, students develop interests in Chinese history, culture and language and have the ability to connect with the East. Please help my students to find their passions, interests and hobbies to help their future careers.
