Providing flexible seating is important to students. It allows them options and choices. This in turn leads to more engagement in their learning. It also decreases the anxiety of learning and keeps young minds energized and focussed. Student anxiety levels will decrease as they come into my classroom and find flexible seating and enjoyable books to read. High interest level books will encourage reading; and flexible seating will allow me to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work situations, and learning options to make sure each students needs are met where they are in their learning progression.

About my class
