Blocks are a universal toy that do more than entertain, although they do that too! Blocks teach children foundational skills about gravity, force, motion, mass, and more. Blocks inspire creativity and make opportunities for children to build what is in their imagination. Blocks do these things and more for STEAM learning. Blocks also provide invaluable social opportunities to children. They learn to share, cooperate, negotiate, and be respectful of each other in a playful environment. Kids who are little right now have missed out on so much because of the pandemic, and I want my classes to have more opportunities to learn to be together.
