I want my students to enter into a classroom that has appropriate resources and materials available to them so that they can use creativity and critical thinking. These different supplies will help my students be able to do so. I have added dominos, counters, jumbo dice, counting cones, and magnetic tiles to help enhance mathematics in my classroom. These resources will give students hands on materials to use. My students participate and are more engaged when they are provided with different choices that support their learning. this is why I have added materials and supplies that enhance creativity and critical thinking for my students. I have added 3 word puzzle cards, magnetic lowercase letters, guided reading books set (level A), and phonological awareness folder game library to help my students have materials to help enhance their reading and phonological awareness skills. Next, I added washable sidewalk chalk, fidget poppers, and a foam football so that students can interact with others using their creativity at free time. I also added classroom materials such as; giant timer, erasers, pom-poms, dry erase markers, dot art painters, and crinkle scissors so that students can participate in activities that involve critical thinking. Paint is another item that will help students be able to use their creativity to create their own individual art work. I want students to be able to explore and dive deeper into things around them. I added a magic school bus microscope lab and balance so that my students could engage in activities that make my students critically think. The all about me posters will help me better get to know my students, why they use their creativity to create a poster about themselves. The science and social studies materials will help me provide materials that align with core standards.
