Since many students have missed required curriculum in the past few years, a classroom set of calculators will make simple calculations accessible to every student. This eliminates the miscalculations that often muddle the answers of the more complex math that occurs in high school. These will allow us to focus on the "why" of math, instead of focusing on the "what" of calculations. Instead of students being held back by not knowing multiplication tables or making arithmetic mistakes, students will instead be able to focus on the more complex mathematical knowledge. Additionally, our school has issued Chromebooks to every student. The chargers will allow students the opportunity to charge their Chromebooks during class, in case they did not charge them at home. Thus, they will be able to continue working in class, even if their Chromebooks die.
