Currently, my students take turns using our one easel. It is in high demand. An easel is an important tool because it allows the artist to stand back from their work and see the whole artwork. Working on a flat surface changes the artist's perspective. An easel also allows the student to work larger. Besides that, I have observed that a student working at an easel feels like a real artist and challenges themself. Real artists need real artist's tools. Currently my students take turns using our one sculpture turntable. A turntable allows the artist to see their sculpture from all sides without picking it up, causing damage. Turntables would be really helpful and very useful.
